What Can I Do To Ease The Pain ?

My mom is diabetic. Her sugar dropped bad. The emts put an iv, with saline solution and D50, which is sugar water, in and she moved and pulled it out. Now her arm is continuously swelling up to her shoulder and down into her hand. She says it hurts pretty bad too. What can I do to ease the pain? And what is this called?

This is mainly a thromobphlebitis which subsides gradually in a few days. Meanwhile you can give hot fomentation to the areas.
