What Can I Do To Heal A Hardened Spot In My Butt Crack And Relieve The Pain?
Hello, I an experiencing significant discomfort in my butt crack area towards the top. There is what appears to be a hardened spot there that feels like a sore or some kind scar tissue. I just ran a marathon on Sunday and I also teach spin classes 3 times a week. I am an avid distance runner and aside from chafing this type of discomfort has never happened to me before. Other than that my legs, back, everything else feels okay. What can I do to heal this and relieve the pain?

Hello,
It could be a bacterial skin infection- a furuncle. I suggest you use a topical antibiotic e.g either Neosporin ointment or Mupirocin ointment.
