What Can I Do To Relieve My Pain Caused Due To Arthritis And Bursitis In One Hip?
My 94 year old dad has been on warfarin for many years. Now he has bad arthritis and bursitis in one hip and is taking sometimes Aleve and sometimes Ibuprofen to relieve the pain. I've told him he shouldn't be taking them, but he says Tylenol doesn't help. He does get his blood checked every month or more often and so far so good, but what can he do to relieve the pain if he doesn't use the above NSAID's? If he uses them regularly and has his warfarin ajusted accordingly would it still be bad?
I will advise you do X ray of hip and you can consult me with reports or with your doctor.
Till time take analgesic and cartilage protecting medication like glucosamine sulphate. For hip arthritis joint flexion, extension and rotation exercises will help. Physiotherapist will help you better to learn more exercises in proper protocol.
Diet rich in calcium and protein will help
