What Can A Large Lump On Calf Muscle Be A Sign Of?

I have a large lump on the inside of my calf muscle. Only appears when I flex it. I m a carpenter and only noticed it 2 months ago when I was doing a lot of roof work. Been to the doctors twice and he is now sending me for a scan. I m worried big time.

Hi, Thanks for using HCM.

Swelling near calf muscle needs to be evaluated, not to worry, scan helps in diagnosing content of swelling.
Possible causes would be lipoma (lipid swelling) Soft tissue swelling, Vascular swelling,
Scan also helps to know its character and type of blood supply, which is helpful in deciding further mode of management.

Get scan done and consult your doctor for further management.

Hope this helps you.

Regards
