What Can Be Done To Stabalize My Baby S Blood Glucose Level In NICU?
Hi,My name is XXXX. My significant other and I just had our first baby. Our baby name is XXXX. Baby was born nov 1st, her gastrational age is 34 weeks. Currently we are in the NICU in abq, trying to stabilize her blood glucose level. She is low on blood sugar, and high on insulin level. Every time doctor increase her GIR in order to increase her blood sugar, her insulin also increases. We have been doing this for about a week now. Any ideas what to do to make my baby better?
She may have congenital hyperinsulinism. Please ask her NICU doctors to consult a pediatric endocrinologist since there are specialized tests they can do for this.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
