What Can Be The Reason For An UTI?

I have a hx of kidney stones also have been having allergic rhinitis sx. Have been taking rx strength sudafed x 1 month and otc pyridium x 2 weeks (for what I thought was a small stone.) Now I am having bladder spasms and burning w urination. No fever or nausea. Could the sudafed have caused a UTI?

Hi, dear
I have gone through your question. I can understand your concern.

You have allergic rhinitis and you are taking sudafed(Pseudoephedrine) . Sudafed does not cause urinary infection. Your stone is predisposing factor for urinary infection. You should go for urine routine and microscopic examination and take antibiotics treatment accordingly.
Hope I have answered your question. If you have any doubts then feel free to ask me. I will be happy to answer.
Thanks for using health care magic. Wish you a very good health.
