What Can Be The Reason For Hives Through Out The Body Which Are Itchy And Painful?

Doing yard work, cutting down pine trees and lilac trees. A couple of days later I am covered in bites/hives that are painfully itchy. Been itchy for 5 days now, itch still as intense as first day. Bites seem to be spreading/becoming rashes. What got me? Chiggers? Ants? Spiders?

Hello,
Thank you for posting on HCM.
From your description its looks like you are having episodes of urticaria or hives, a kind of allergic skin eruption.
I would advise you to consult a dermatologist for proper management.
The best management is avoidance of allergen as far as possible. In your case it seems the bites of ants/mosquitoes etc could have triggered hives.
Usually i advise a long term course of various antihistaminics with or without corticosteroids.
Also, in certain non-responding cases various other medications like dapsone, montelukast, cyclosporine, omalizumab can be tried.
Thank you
Dr Hardik Pitroda
