What Can Be The Reason For Severe Pain When Urinating?
My 17 year old daughter was having severe pain urinating. She admitted she was sexually active. They ran a urine culture to test her for UTI, Gave her macrobid. Nurse called back 3 days later to say test result showed she had a severe infection, Bactro something aerogenes. Nurse said it could have came from an std. Now she is on Bactrim. Since she is on meds, how would we know now what the cause really was, i wanted to notify her partner.
The most possible issue here seems to be sexually transmitted bacterial infection. Care in terms of local cleansing with gentian violet scrub, systemic care with antibiotic, anti-inflammatory and urine alkaliser will help to recover fine.
