What Can Be The Reason For Unusual Bowel Movement?

I passed a strange stool today. I had a piece of normal looking BM as usual, but when I wiped, there was a long (4-5 inch long) piece of stringy, greenish tinted fibrous mass...it looked about like a vanilla bean, but with a dark greenish hue and it looked twisted and it was soft..and could be easily broken apart. It looked like a long thin mass of cooked spinach. Any idea what this could be?

General Surgeon 's  Response
Hi,

Seems to be fiber content of the diet passed through the gut and less likely a worm. However, a stool microscopy test is recommended here.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Bhagyesh V. Patel,
General Surgeon
