What Can Be The Treatment For Urinary Track Infection?

Hello Doctor, I was having a severe urinary tract infection....and had an ultrasound of abdomen and pelvis..the result is that I am having minimal right renal particulate/ granular echogenicities...no calculi,no hydronephrosis...what further treatment I should take? pls reply

Hi thanks for contacting HCM...

Here your kidney echogenecity increased so UTI can be there. ...
Investigate urine with routine and microscopic examination....

If pus cells and cast present along with bacteria than it could be pyelonephritis like infection ..

You might prescribed three days iv antibiotic(ex ceftriaxone ) and than for seven days oral antibiotic (ex cefixime )..

Drink more water ...

Avoid excess spicy foods ....

Fruit juice like orange juice more ...

Cranberry juice extract tablet can be taken ...

Take care ...

Advise : consult physician or nephrologists whichever is near by ...
