What Can Cause A Long Piece Of Bloody Like Skin In The Throat After A Cold Infection?

I have had a really bad cold for a over week now affecting my voice box. Started taking antibiotics and a steroid yesterday so feeling a bit better. However, this morning I freaked out as I coughed up like a really long piece of bloody like skin... soft yet elastic. Should I be worried?

Hi thanks for contacting HCM ..

Here you are having acute laryngitis like infection as voice affected ....

So you are given correct treatment for that by antibiotic and steroid .....
Steroid will relieve inflammation in laryngeal wall....

Here you have blood in sputum so this could be from respiratory inflammation ....

Your auscultation also done and if needed chest x ray done for rule out bronchitis. ...

Meanwhile steam inhalation done two times daily ....

Drink more water ...

Strickly avoid active and passive smoking ...

Fruit juice more ..
Spicy food less ....

So no need for worry ...
But consult physician for examination ..
