What Can Cause Bleed Post Tonsillectomy And Adnoiectomy In A 8 Years Old Child?
My 8 year old daughter had a tonsillectomy and adnoiectomy 12 days ago and today out of no where she started to bleed it only bleed for a few minutes. It that normal? And is it because the scabs are falling off? And when should I be worried to get her to the er?

Oozing of blood from the operation site is common after tonsillectomy .
After the oral feeding is allowed any hard particle in the food may initiate bleeding which stops spontaneously.
There is nothing to worry about.
