Hi,I am Diwashish Biswas (Internal Medicine Specialist). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
What Can Cause Diarrhea, Headaches, Nausea And Itching While On Metformin, Lisinopril, Pravastatin And Depo?
Hi, I currently have diabetes and I have symptoms that I m concerned about. I take Metphormin, Lisinipril, Pravastatin, Depo shot, escitalopram, buproprian, and glimepride. I have diarrhea, headaches, kidney pain, itching, nausea and exsessive sweating.
In my opinion your symptoms are indicative of the side effects of depo shot & Buproprian; you can talk to your treating doctor so that you are prescribed with some other substitute medications that suit you better and you are more comfortable.
Meanwhile, eat boiled food, take soups, ORS/juice, keep yourself well hydrated. Avoid oily food, dairy products and take small meals frequently.
Get liver functions tests done to rule out any developing pathology in the liver as the side effect of many drugs is liver damage. Stay away from stress & anxiety. Take care.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
Dr. Nupur K.
