What Can Cause Fever Along With Fatigue, Dizziness And Chills?

My husband is age 57 (very healthy) for about a week has had on and off fever, fatigue, slightly dizzy, occasional chills, a couple rough headache and now has a rash on his trunk. At first we were thinking just a virus but are now thinking it might be something more serious. Do you agree?

Hi,

Fever with rash may be a virus or bacterial infection. Viruses like dengue, Japanese encephalitis, measles, herpes, mums, enteric fever or septicemia or Rickettsial infection etc may be the cause.

Until examination is done it is difficult to say what it is. Use tablet Paracetamol. Take rest and drink plenty of liquid. If symptoms not improved please consult your doctor, he will examine and treat you accordingly.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
