What Can Cause Pain Around The Hamstrings?

My wife has had pain for over a year in the area where the thigh bone connects to the butt. She has had an Angiogram re circulation, veins and arteries tested, ultrasounds, physical therapy, a cortisone shot, various Alleve and Advil regimens, patches applied, creams applied and probably other remedies I don t recall just now but nothing seems to work. BTW she s Type 2 diabetic and takes blood pressure, cholesterol and sugar related (Metformin) drugs. Thoughts? Thank you.

Hello,

Do continue to take the medications prescribed, the pain you feel around the hamstrings is due to fatigue, muscle weakness, low blood sugar, unusual weight loss or electrolyte imbalance. Since you are diabetic and on Metformin, you need to take care of your diet and have regular check-ups. Maintain healthy lifestyle and do regular exercises.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
