What Can Cause Pain In The Leg Upon Lying Down?

I have what feels like growing pains in my left leg from time to time and it is only in that leg and seems to hurt more when I lay down. Also I don’t think it’s growing pains because I haven’t grown for awhile and it’s only in that leg. What could this be and what can I do about it?
