What Can Cause Pain In Wrist And A Knot Under The Thumb?

I ve had constant pain in my inside part of my left wrist. . It hurts to use that arm to push myself up out of bed. Randomly I ll get what seems to be a sudden sharp pain or crap in my outter part of my fore-arm. This just randomly came on about 2 months ago and doesnt seem to be getting any better.. . Kind of feels like a knot just under my thumb in my wrist. Any idea what the catalyst to this was? I m not very active so I know I didn t injure it that way.

General Surgeon 's  Response
Hi,

Consult an orthopedic and get evaluated. It can be due to a ganglion cyst or carpel tunnel syndrome (CTS). As of now you can take analgesics like Acetaminophen or Gabapentin for pain relief. Wishing you good health.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
