What Can Cause Persistent Nausea After Repeated Minor Injuries To The Head While Playing Basketball?
My 20 year old son rear ended someone in m May and we took him to an Immediate care center. He went to the hospital to have a CT scan and it came out ok. Since then he has been wacked in the head several times by basketballs Etc. He is still feeling nauseated.Of course it has been hard to keep him off screens and though he has taken some time off to rest from work as a coach, he doesn t seem to be getting better. Our family Doc told him to rest and eat well, but it is hard to keep him resting.
Your son's symptoms could be related to post concussion syndrome. The fact that he had repeated head trauma is a known risk factor for this disorder. Coming to this point, I would recommend performing a lot of physical activity (aerobics, recreational sports, etc.). An antidepressant or Pregabaline may help improve his situation.
