It may be due to respiratory Infection or bronchial asthma or cardiac asthma (heart failure, myocardial infarction). their possibilities like anemia, liver failure or panic attacks etc. Until examination is done it is difficult to say what it is. please consult your physician then get the x-ray chest and get treated accordingly.
