What Cause Frequent Need To Urinate After Intercourse?

Just about 2 days ago i engaged in sexual intercourse and it seemed fine. The next morning i got up at 2 AM, which isnt normal, to go to the bathroom. Very frequently all day i had to pee, and it really hurt at the very end. I looked online and a UTI seems plausible but i would like an expert's perspective. Please Help.
