What Cause Frequent Urination Sensation?
Doc. Im 42 years old and I have had prostitis in the past, but i feel that i need to urinate often and I have a tight feeling inbetween my scrotum and anus passage, I have been recommended Ciprofloxin and Doxycycline 5 days ago, but i still have the same feelings, is this normal. Im 5 ft 11ins and weight is 14st 7lbs.

Thanks for query ..
Based on the facts and symptoms that you have I would state that you have Chronic Prostatitis .
Consult qualified Urologist for clinical and digital rectal examination and get following basic tests done to confirm the diagnosis.
1) Urine routine and culture.
2) Ultrasound scanning of abdomen and pelvis
3) Serum PSA.
4) Culture of a urethral discharge obtained after prostatic massage .
5) Semen examination and culture .
Further treatment will depend upon result of these tests and final diagnosis.
In the mean while start taking combination of Trimethoprim and Sulphamethoxazole twice daily later on switch on to appropriate antibiotic as per culture report ..
Please note that prostatitis gets long time to get cured hence one has to take medications for 4-6 weeks .

thank-you for providing the brief history of you. As you mentioned your age is 42 and you had prostatitis as well. Did you check your blood sugar levels? Usually when there is abdominal muscles weakness the control of on the bladder is reduced. which will lead to abnormal sensation of urination too. As the physician has mentioned you medicine kindly continue that and do regular pelvic floor exercises and abdominal exercises. Keep patience and all will be fine soon.
