Hello,
In most cases reported of
knee pain now in the early 30s and 40s are of the early signs of
Osteoarthritis of the knee. These degenerative changes are occurring due to the lifestyle and lack of proper physical activity. Due to which there is a weakness of muscles of the lower
limbs and leading to knee joint reduced space.
There is a method to control the degenerative process to progress. Exercises under a guided physiotherapist in the initial stages and later at home by self-effort is advised.
Exercises include - static
hamstring, static Quadriceps, half squats, full squats, hip muscle strengthening exercises, core stability, balance board training, resistance training etc.
Each exercise is implemented to focus on the required weak muscles and also the muscles which provide imbalances to the joint. Proper training will help to control the progression of the degenerative changes and improve the quality of life.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
