What Cause My Finger Pad Become Reddish And Swollen?

hi.... 2 of my finger pads are a little bit reddish and swollen and painful, but after 2 to 3 days, it disappear.... After it disappear, it may come again but to my other fingers, afterwhich, the same will happen to my other finger pads.... may i know what is this? what causes this? and what is the cure?
