What Cause Peri Oral Pigmentation On Nasolabial Folds?

I hav peri oral pigmentation esp on my nasolabial folds n immediately below my upper n lower lip...it's considerably darker than rest of my skin..I've tried all treatments including peels n hydroquinone..hq showed good results but my doc said tat I developed reaction to it..will lasers help??
