What Cause Shaking Of Body Followed By Falling Down Suddenly?
My 2 year old daughter sometimes shows a strange body shaking followed by falling down (kind of out of balance). It happens randomly, sometimes when she is sitting and sometime when she is standing. Last time, it last about a week, then she was back to normal. Now it started again. It is unpredicted when such shaking/falling happens. She remain awake and responsive during all time. I am trying to find out why.

Hi. Can you tell how long the shaking lasts? Is it some part or occurring in the whole body? I think it can be a part of seizures like absence seizure. I would advice you to video this episode next time when it occurs.If you can send the video it will definitely narrow down our differential diagnosis. Also how is the child in between such episodes? Is she able to recall the events?please let know the details. Also don't let the child play or do any activities without supervision.
