What Cause Slight Slide In The Knee Cap?

My knee cap seems to slightly slide out of place, and it feels unusual, it don't hurt, it just feels unstable. I didn't injure it, it just started hurting one day two weeks ago and it has not been the same since. Is there anything I could to to correct this without seeing a doctor?

HI
Thank for asking to HC
I rally appreciate your concern looking to the history given here I could say that your knee cap might be having this problem due to the cruciate muscle right now it could be control with the knee brace alone if the symptoms does not improve then this could be investigated hope this information helps you take care and have a nice day.
