What Cause Thoracic Back Pain And Chest Discomfort?

Aching deep chronic thoracic back pain, also chest discomfort. Had backache for over 20 years but it's worse now. Chest discomfort started in February. Had an EKG all is good. Now sure if it's related to the back pain but no amount of massage or chiropractor can fix it. What could it be?

Pulmonologist 's  Response
Thanks for your question on Health Care Magic.
I can understand your concern.
Chronic chest pain with chest pressure is seen in heart and lung diseases.
Heart diseases can sometimes missed on ecg.
So better to get done 2d echo and stress test.
If both are normal then no need to worry for heart diseases.
Bronchitis can also cause similar symptoms. So consult pulmonologist and get done clinical examination of respiratory system, PFT (Pulmonary Function Test) and chest x ray.
PFT is needed to rule out bronchitis.
Chest x ray is needed to rule out other lung related diseases.
So better to first diagnose yourself and then start appropriate treatment.
Hope I have solved your query.
I will be happy to help you further. Wish you good health. Thanks.
