What Caused The Heterotopic Ossification In My Hip?
I WAS IN A CAR ACCIDENT AND BROKE MY PELVIS. I HAD SURGERY THE NEXT DAY. AFTER THE SURGERY THE DOCTOR SAID THAT HE DIDN T GET ALL THE BONE FRAGMENTS AND I WOULD HAVE ANOTHER SURGERY THE NEXT DAY. AFTER MY X-RAY HE SAID HE GOT ENOUGH OF THE BONE AND I DIDN T NEED THE SURGERY. A COUPLE MONTHS LATER MY X-RAYS SHOWED HETEROTOPIC OSSIFICATION IN MY HIP. COULD THE BONE HE LEFT IN ME CAUSE THIS TO HAPPEN
Hetero topic ossification is known to happen in hip joint and etiology is multi factorial. It would not be possible to identify single factor causing it.
