What Causes '10-15/HPF Pus Cells' In Urine Of A Child And Can I Give 'zifi' For This?

Hi Sr,

My baby girl (age 9 months) is having a pus cells of 10-15/HPF in her urine. Is this happened due to diapers? Doctor has started treatment with ZIFI 50 dry syrup. Is it too dangerous. What arethe precuations that we have to take to reduce this?

She is definitely having Urinary tract infection.
It is unlikely to be due to diapers.
Before starting antibiotics, it is important to get urine culture and antibiotic sensitivity.
I would suggest you to consult your Pediatrician for further management.
