What Causes 188/109 BP While Taking Lisinopril?

I took my bp in my class friday and it was 190/118 i have continued to monitor it for the last couple days including this morning and it is still very high this am it was 188/109. I am not having really any symptoms other than some transient dizziness. I am diagnosed with hypertension and take lisinopril for it. Should I wait til monday to be seen?

Hi, welcome to HCM.
You seem to a have significantly elevated blood pressure.initial management of which should be a combination of antihypertensives like metoprolol 25mg and lisinopril 5mg ,if the blood pressure is not responsive to lisinopril alone.I Recommend you to monitor your blood pressure twice daily until it normalizes.A screening 2D ECHO of heart is essential to rule out underlying organic cardiac lesions if any.Restrict the dietary intake of salt to less than 5gms.Consult your cardiologist for further queries.
