What Causes EF Of Gall Bladder To Be Elevated In Hida Scan?

I had a Hida scan to evaluate my gallbladder. The EF is 97%. What could cause an elevated EF of my gallbladder? I have suffered from symptoms of what my doctor thought might be lactose intoerance but I drink skim milk daily without problems. I am 30 years old and 5 4 and weight 145 pounds. I have no other significant past medical history.

Hi and welcome to Healthcaremagic. Thank you for your query. I am Dr. Rommstein, I understand your concerns and I will try to help you as much as I can.

You are correct that a very high ejection rate can cause problems and that the easiest way to resolve them is to remove the gallbladder. However, just as with low ejection rate and gallbladder removal there is no 100% guarantee that it resolves all issues.

A very high ejection rate can cause problems that you are mentioning and the easiest way to resolve them is to remove the gallbladder. However, just as with low ejection rate and gallbladder removal there is no 100% guarantee that it resolves all issues. In every case, diet may be sufficient measure to relieve your symptoms. ou need to change your dietary habits first. Need to avoid fried food, carbonated drinks, coffee, alcohol and spicy food. You should eat more milk products, vegetables and boiled food. If there is no improvement on lifestyle or dietary changes, you should do CT scan and gastroscopy to evaluate other most common causes.
LActose intolerance is possible as well and it can be easily ruled out by removing lactose from your diet.

I hope I have answered you query. If you have any further questions you can contact us in every time.
Kindly regards. Wish you a good health.
