I was ready to fall asleep and all of a sudden I heard a POP sound in my head and woke up thinking I was dying and was going to stop living right there. I can't go back to sleep.
That may be part of anxiety symptoms. There is nothing to worry about that. If it stays for longer period and you do not get relief, then it could be due to musical ear syndrome. In that case, you have to consult a neurologist to rule out any underline organic disorder. In case, you need further help, you can ask.
