Hi,I am Dr. Santosh Kondekar (Pediatrician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
Hi, I am 22 weeks pregnant and have 2 children aged 4 and 6, I was on efexor for post natal depression before conceiving this baby but came off it due to the increased risk of miscarriage (I have had 6 losses). I am feeling like the symptoms of depression are returning and I am struggling to cope with my children. I have read a few studies saying that there is and increased risk of PPHN in newborns, the risk seems low but significant, are you able to elaborate on this? Kind Regards, Natalie
there is increased risk with maternal use of nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drugs with in utero constriction of the ductus arteriosus, maternal late trimester use of selective serotonin reuptake inhibitors . What medicines are you taking , Treating doctor is in better condition to consider risk-reward ratio.
