What Causes A 11 Month Old Baby To Vomit Along With Hiccups?

my 11 month old baby lately has been vomitting and have the hiccups which is rare for her. My wife has been weaning her off of nursing and she has been drinking more baby formula. She is perfectly happy and do not appear to be in pain. Her stool appears to be normal; however, the smell has intensified. Is this something we should be concerned about?

Hiccups are common in infants. Sometimes the food tends to move upwards through the esophagus instead of downwards towards the stomach which leads to hiccups and vomiting too. Feed your child on a sitting posture, small amounts at a time and give her plenty of fluids. If the problem persists and is troublesome consult your doctor for medications known as gut motility regulators.
