What Causes A Bleeding Hole Above The Anus?

My boyfriend has noticed a small hole above his anus. Hes been to the doctor and they are sending him to see a surgeon for a chat but didnt really explain what it could be. I think the hole bleeds now and again but isnt that painfull. Has anyone experienced this problem?

Hello,

As per my surgical experience, this issue seems to be perianal infection boil, fistula or pilonidal sinus. Needs clinical confirmation with a consultant surgeon to decide further the line of action. Primary relief can obtain by sitz bath.
