Hallow Dear,

Unwanted 72 is an emergency contraceptive pill which gives protection against pregnancy if consumed within 72 hours of the unprotected sex. It contain a progestational medicine named as Levonorgestrel. You have taken it within 64 hours in spite of protected sex. So you are doubly well protected against pregnancy.

Usually there are following after effects of such emergency contraceptive pills:

1. Few days after the consumption of medicine, some amount of bleeding may take place which lasts for a couple of days and then stops.

2. The periods following the pills may get delayed by few days to about a week or so.

However, you had induced your menstruation on 23 July. Naturally, the periods you will get after that will get delayed. Since you have not mentioned the date till which you have not had your menses, I cannot figure out for how many days your menses are delayed. If you have not got your menses even after 21 August, it is advisable to get pregnancy test done on your urine. With the double protection you had, you are most unlikely to be pregnant. In that case, you may again have to induce your period by hormonal withdrawal for which, report to your Gynaecologist. After you get the menses, you may continue the oral contraceptive pills for 21 days to regularise your menses. Oral contraceptive pills for 3 months will help you regularise your menses.

I hope this helps you.
