What Causes A Drop In BP Levels After A Rotator Cuff Surgery?

Had rotator cuff surgery 6 days ago.After surgery bp dropped to 60/48 and 02 levels dropped to 84 to 87%.Nurse came in and when I asked why monitor continued going off, he dismissed it and said the machine was not working properly..When the oxygen was put back on me it came back up to 97%but bp continued to be low...needless to stay nurse on next shift was not happy that he dismissed it..The doctor said he thought it was from the meds/Should I check into this further.I am 61,have coronary stints and this is the first time that this has happened after surgery.I just had RTC in Oct on other arm and both knees replaced in the past 4 years...

Well come to HCM
I really appreciate your concern in post operative phase hypotension may be due to anaesthesia but this may not long last if such hypotension happens after 6 days then this may be due to some volume loss and bleeding may be the reason and this need to be immediately ruled out, with the history of heart disease this would be the matter of concern and need to be taken seriously, better to have a word with Physician take care.
