What Causes A Dull Ache On My Lower Thoracic Area?
Hi, 42 YOWF with history of L4-L5 diskectomy, hysterectomy, tonsillectomy, cholecystectomy, no cardiac or pulmonary issues. Otherwise healthy. Ht 5 5 , Wt 160. Experiencing dull ache on left side of back in lower thoracic area and radiating slightly downward... does NOT feel like muscle pain, nerve pain, or bone pain. No pulmonary symptoms, no fever, no cough, no other symptoms. No injuries. Back feels almost sore to touch. Started yesterday.

is pain constant or comes and goes? Area you described is renal angle and pain here arises mostly from renal pathology which might be stone. I would advise ultrasound of kidney ureter and bladder to confirm diagnosis. If it's normal then pain is muscular and take tab diclofenac plus thiocolchicoside combination twice a day for pain relief. If report is abnormal need to consult expert urologist with report. All the best
