Hello,

A pop in the rib can be heard due to a muscle spasm or a sudden movement or low levels of calcium. You need rest, hot compress and calcium supplements to help it.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Take care

Regards,
Dr Praveen Tayal, Orthopaedic Surgeon
