What Causes A Flare Up Due To Diverticulosis Medicine?
I have 2 older Diverticilus medicine and have had a flare up. They are Metronidazole 500 mg and ciprofloxacin HCL 500 Mg which you take together. They say discard after 12/09/11. I would like to take the medicines for the pain and discomfort but are they to old and cause me problems. I can t see my doctor for another 5 days. Please answer quickly.

Dear- I understand your concern and will give you my advise. It is not recommendable to use outdated medications because then loose the effect and can cause more problems than benefits. You should have a bland diet,free of irritants and small seeds. Drink plenty of water and consult your doctor for new prescription of the Flagyl and Ciprofloxacin.
