Hi,I am Dr. Gopal Goel (Orthopaedic Surgeon). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
My son found a hard (silver dollar size)lump next to his shin bone on his left leg (the inner side) He saw our nurse practioner today and she is sending him for an ultrasound. I m just wondering what this could be? He doesn t have much pain with this.
What I feel is you should wait till the ultrasound reports come. Usually, these are like knots and unless and until they lead to the pain we should actually not worry much.
Rest assured, post ultrasound scan we will come to know if any fluid accumulation is there. Since there is no pain it is obvious clear there is no vascular compression.
Your son will not have any major condition to worry about.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
