What Causes A Heavy Period While On IUD?

Hi! I was diagnosed with 3 fibroids and heavy period . So my GP suggested marina IUD. I have had the IUD for one and half month. A week later I started with spotting and it s 28 days now since 4 days period is really heavy. So my GP suggested ZOELY PILL. Is this normal?

Hi,

Zoely is a hormonal pill and it will help to control bleeding. If the bleeding is profuse you can take tranexamic acid tablets to control bleeding. If symptoms are severe, you can consult a gynaecologist and plan for surgical options.
