What Causes A Hoarse Voice In A Child?

my 11 year son's voice has been hoarse on & off for a couple of weeks now, more hoarse most of the time. His throat doesn't hurt at all. Can this be the beginning of puberty? Can his voice be changing? I thought they usually crackle. Should I be concerned?

Thanks for using Health Care Magic.

Read your query.

The symptoms you have written suggests the onset of puberty (it doesn't necessarily crackle always). Relax ,your son is entering puberty stage.

Hope this was helpful.

Thanks and regards.
