What Causes A Large Bulge On The Left Side Of The Waist After A Femur Injury?

I have had a broken left femur and had to have the hip restricted at this time in 2012 Right now the upper part of the outside of my hip is very bruised, and if you run your hand down from the waist you can feel a big bulge about 5 inches long across the top. I have not fallen or bumped into anything

Consult an orthopedician and get an MRI scan done. We have to rule out conditions like hematoma which can present like this.
