What Causes A Lump In The Neck That Causes Pain While Swallowing?

I keep getting this lump it appears on the left side of my neck and is visable from a distance I also have pain when I eat and swollow do they have a connection? I am already treated for thyroid have been for many yrs are they connected?

This sounds like either a goiter or a thyroid nodule problem so you need an ultrasound of your neck to check it out
