What Causes A Lump On The Buttock Of A 87 Year Old?

87yo female just discovered with a knot about the size of half a small orange centered above her bottom, It doesn't hurt at all. Hoping this is not related to colostmy in December and extended re-hab. She uses a walker and yesterday pedaled while seated for the first time in a long time.

thanks!!!

if you are not sure, how long she has had this and not painful, can be fat tissue accumulation called lipoma. keep an eye if it gets bigger quickly or gets painful or red as it can be infection with an abcess. If she is not in pain and able to sit and pedal, likely not an inflammation but get checked by her doctor.
