What Causes A Lump On The Leg After An Injury?

I recently fell against my deck and really hit my shin. It has a small lump, and at times appears swollen, along with the top of my foot. I can walk, although not quite as fast. I can move my ankle, toes and legs without problem. Should I be concerned? I have used ice and wrapped my leg in an ACE bandage, which helps with support. Really do not want to go to ER if not necessary. Thank you.

Hi. Welcome to health care magic. You have developed swelling after hit on deck.as you are able to walk i think you have only muscle injury. You need analgesic, rest, crepe bandage for 4-5 days.
