What Causes A Painful Lump In Between The Fingers?

Hi. I work in a kitchen and am constantly peeling and chopping veg. I have developed a hard lump between my index finger and my middle finger. It s been there now for about 3 years. In the beginning it was painful but now it s not however it is getting bigger. Should I be concerned?

Hi. Constant pressure on the skin results in overgrowth of tissue to protect the underlying area. It is the same as with developing callouses on pressure points on your feet.
Try to get the rubber finger tips that people who do sewing wear - this might alleviate discomfort and prevent further damage.
