What Causes A Positive Pregnancy Test After Having An Abortion?
I had an abortion 3 weeks ago and had unprotected sex 2 weeks later. I went to take a blood test last friday and i went back to the doctor the following monday and my results came back positive with a HGL of 123. Then i took another blood test on monday and got my test results back today and my HGL dropped down to 70.67. So now i have to go and get an ultra sound tomorrow and i want to know if there could be a problem.

- HCG levels can take as long as 4 to 6 weeks after abortion to reach to normal level.
- The unprotected sex you had was 1 week back- The earliest appearance of HCG in pregnansy is 8-10 days.Also your HCg level is declining-
-So the HCG noted can not be due to new pregnancy ( by your latest sex.)
* All of these indicate that, the present HCG noted is from aborted pregnancy.
