What Causes A Prolonged Menstrual Cycle With Bright Bleeding?
I have now had menstrual cycle for 1 month, it started as my normal period, but now the blood is more of a bright red color, sort of like if I scrape my knew and whipe it with toilet paper (fresh). I am used to my period being 7-10 days, but is it possible that my body is trying to tell me something??

Hi,
It would be helpful if you can provide your age. Prolonged bleeding for about a month is not normal for women of any age. It requires basic evaluation like a pelvic organ scan. Complete blood picture and thyroid levels. Treatment would depend on the problem identified from the above tests.
